Portable Hand Controls Brake/Acclerator |
|
Portable Hand Controls give the user a wider freedom to be able to test drive vehicles. The 'Bekker' Portable Hand Controls Can be fitted to almost every make and model of motor vehicle that is fitted with an automatic gearbox. It only takes seconds to fit and remove the controls, making them ideal for holidays, test driving cars or driving a friends or a family members car. The controls are a temporary measure only suitable for short term use. For a permanent fixture, please see our range of built-in hand controls.
How To Fit:
- Slacken the tightening knob at either side of the clamp to allow it to slip over the pedal.
- Position the clamp over the pedal so it sits centrally on the pedal.
- Tighten the clamp evenly at both sides so the clamp has a good tight grip of the pedal
- Repeat this for the second clamp.
- Sit in the driver's seat and hold the portable hand controls in the required position. If the length of the controls is incorrect, they can be adjusted by reducing / increasing the gap half way down the controls illustrated in the key diagram as 'length adjustment' .
- Prior to driving, ensure that the two retaining nuts either side of the length adjustment are tightened sufficiently, and ensure that both clamps are secured on the pedals and that they cannot slip off.
